Whole Life Carbon
Pre - Construction Demolition (A5.1)
The impacts arising from any full or partial demolition or deconstruction of an existing stucture is required, to facilitate the construction of a new asset.
Construction Activities (A5.2)
Construction activity impacts include impacts from any construction activities and installation processes on-site, including temporary works, energy consumption for site accommodation and use of plant, machinery and equipment.
Select the most appropriate use case:
Use Impacts (B1) Carbonation
Cementitious materials like concrete, cement, and mortar do absorb CO2 from the air through the carbonation process.
Maintenance (B2) and Repair (B3) Impacts
The impacts arising from maintaining and repairing the project throughout it's lifecycle.
Select the most appropriate use case:
Deconstruction and Demolition Impacts (C1)
The impacts arising from any on/offsite deconstruction and demolition activities at the end of life of the project.
Select the most appropriate scenario:
Reuse, Recover, Recycling Potential (D1)
Potential benefits and loads from reuse, recycling and energy recovery from the net output flows of materials exiting the system boundary, and/or from other recovery.
Material Decarbonization
It is expected that extraction, transportation and manufacturing processes will decarbonize, so it is important to consider their decarbonization as an additional part of the WLC analysis.
